The elementary (beginners) course is open to the public for enrolment in December and May each year. This is a WDA approved course.

Certificate of Graduation
Students who passed the final exam will be awarded with certificate from the JCS Japanese Language School. Certificates of merit from the Japanese Cultural Society and Embassy of Japan in Singapore are awarded to outstanding and top students.
As student at JCS, you get to learn & enjoy for free :

- Japanese creative art & how to wrap gifts the Japanese way
- Japanese manners / etiquette
- Japanese tea ceremony
- Japanese performing arts, drum, dance, choir etc.
Japanese corner for JCS students to practice conversations is organized from time to time.

REGISTRATION FOR HIGHER-LEVEL COURSE (For the general public only)
Intermediate and Advanced courses: Open to the public for enrolment from early-January on a first-come-first-served basis. (Opening Hours: Mon-Fri, from 2.30pm to 8.00pm)
For Intermediate and Advanced courses, applicants are required to sit and pass the appropriate qualifying test. The qualifying test will be conducted in the month of December.
Qualifying Test Date: Monday 19 December 2016 at 7pm
Those who wish to sit for the test may email firstname.lastname@example.org to apply.
Applicants with Japanese language proficiency certificates (J.L.P.T) issued by the Japan Foundation may enroll for admission to a higher level course.
Registration date: In the month of January (Opening hours: Mon-Fri, 2.30pm to 8.00pm only.)
The standard of the course levels is as follows:
(JLPT N5 or equivalent)
Advanced I course:
(JLPT N4 or equivalent)
Advanced II course:
(JLPT N3 or equivalent)
(JLPT N2 or equivalent)
J.L.P.T certificate holders are exempted from the qualifying test. Please bring along your JLPT certificate for registration.
